Fortaleza Añejo is a masterclass in traditional tequila-making, aged to reveal layers of depth, elegance, and complexity. Produced by the legendary Sauza family at the Tequila Los Abuelos distillery in Tequila, Jalisco, this Añejo honors over five generations of heritage. Aged for approximately 18 months in American oak barrels, it preserves the soul of the agave while introducing refined notes from the wood.

Tasting Notes

Nose:
Rich caramel and butterscotch lead with baked agave, vanilla, and light cinnamon. Hints of orange peel, oak spice, and roasted nuts drift beneath.

Palate:
A creamy texture full of sweet agave, warm baking spices, dried fruit, and toasted oak. Flavors of maple syrup, chocolate-covered almonds, and nutmeg unfold with each sip.

Finish:
Long and layered, with a slow fade of agave sweetness, soft spice, and lingering oak.
